Ridgefield Supply Company provides lumber, roofing, siding, decking, windows, doors, skylights, paint, hardware, and molding.
Established in 1883.
The Ridgefield Supply Company has its roots in a lumber company founded in 1883. The 4 1/2 acre site on Prospect Street, now occupied by the retail outlet, started out as the Osborn and Gilbert Lumberyard.
To provide high quality building products, maintain efficient inventory levels and employ a staff of highly knowledgeable individuals capable of handling all material needs for residential construction resulting in relationships that will endure for decades.
Richard W. Osborn and William O. Gilbert had their first lumberyard several miles down the road in Branchville, Conn. They decided to take advantage of the rail line (built in 1873) to haul their inventory in and moved the lumberyard to its current location in downtown Ridgefield, opposite the train station.
Today, the Ridgefield Supply Company is one of the leading lumber and building supply dealers in their market. With a staff of loyal employees and a large fleet of multi-purpose delivery trucks.
